Service Delivery Platform
The SentryAT6U8S is a High-Performance Services Delivery Platform based on a 1-GbE and 10-GbE layer 2/3 Switch. The 10/100/1000 and 10 Gigabit Ethernet Ports are all wire-speed, non-blocking.

The SentryAT6U8S is the only network appliance that can incorporate Switching, Routing, High Performance Servers, High Performance Storage and Encryption in a ONE BOX Solution. This allows IT managers to drastically reduce their power and cooling budget and give 20 times (20X) performance over industry standard solutions.
The SentryAT6U8S is the first network appliance to be based on an NSA Approved EAL 6+ Secure Kernel RTOS. This one feature mitigates the issues of the product being hacked and the Manchurian effect.

FEATURES
In today’s Enterprise more and more data and applications are being pushed back to the server. Even when the application is resident on the user’s machine, the database is often resident on the servers. This can cause difficulty for the IT manager to provide congestion-free connectivity, high performance and data integrity. POWER
Redundancy is inherent in the core design, the SentryAT6U8S has Dual Redundant -48 DC power modules or optional Dual Redundant 120 volt AC power shelf. At full load the power draw is only 1200 Watts and 10.4 amps. This is 1/3 the power draw of comparable products!

Unlike the industry normal “cookie cutter” products, The SentryAT6U8S can be configured to fit your individual needs.
SECURITY
- Secure Kernel OS – The SentryAT6U8S Switch management module is the first network appliance to operate on an NIAP Certified EAL 6+ Real Time Operating System (RTOS). This OS mitigates the threat of an outside force being able to hack or take control of the device.
- “Data at Rest” Encryption - Our data at rest encryption is on a per file basis. Each individual file stored has a unique encryption key. The normal means of encrypting data at rest is to use encrypted hard drives. With this legacy method, only one key must be broken to retrieve the entire store of data on that particular drive. The SentryAT6U8S per file encryption is just that. The encryption and decryption is automatic and transparent to the user.
Transmission Encryption - The SentryAT6U8S Data Transport Encryption is based on AES 256 Streaming Encryption. This allows the injection of encryption into the streaming data without the latency of having to store and encrypt each individual packet or session. The SentryAT6U8S Data Transport Encryption keys can be rotated as desired based on the threat or importance of the data, with keys changing every second if needed. This will greatly impair the capture and deciphering of the keys and breaching of the data.By placing the management of the keys at the Client’s facility, the Hosting company will not have access to the keys or the rolling intervals, thus placing the control with the client. High Performance Computing
The High Performance, single slot computer module is based on the single socket L5518 Intel® Xeon® processor or Dual socket XEON Processors. It is ideal for control plane and server functions for LTE wireless infrastructure, Deep Packet Inspection, IPTV, IP multimedia subsystems and defense application. These High Performance Servers provide Dual 10-Gigabit fabric connectivity and 8 DDR3 DIMM sockets.
- Virtualization: Support for extended VT-x and VT-d on the board decreases the overhead associated with virtualization. All SentryAT6U8S Server modules have been validated with leading hypervisors, making it the ideal platform where virtualization is required.
- Upgrade path: The Nehalem Server modules have been designed to accept the next generation of Intel processors with minimum changes to firmware and BIOS, providing an upgrade path that will minimize customer development and validation.

NETWORKING
Switch Manager -
The Switch Manager is architected to be the heart of a cost-effective ATCA platform, providing highly integrated, centralized common equipment functions – switching, shelf management, network timing and system management functionalities. It incorporates innovative and modular design to provide a highly configurable solution. For example, the designer can configure the switch to suit the requirements for the architecture by choosing optional capabilities like network timing and system management as needed. The NEBS compliant carrier grade Switch Manager includes comprehensive switching and blade management software.
High Performance Storage


The SentryAT6U8S High Performance Storage modules provide Fibre Channel performance by leveraging 10Gb iSCSI, Hardware RAID and custom Offload ASIC technology. The TCP/IP and iSCSI offload ASIC enables a combination of performance, low power consumption and virtualization features that are not available in any other storage solution. The result is a high performing iSCSI storage solution that runs fast, cool and can provide the features and performance required by emerging applications.
With up to six drives per slot the High Performance Storage module offers high storage density. The system supports SAS, SATA and Solid State disk drives which enables system designers to hit the desired price/performance points for a wide range of customer applications. All Storage Blades use the identical disk drive FRUs which greatly simplifies spares management.
